Shipping Times
I try to ship orders asap, however; I do not have any employees. Some lures I make to order. I will try to make these on the same or next day, then the plastic will need to cure for 2 or 3 days before I can ship them. Also, sometimes I am out of town, which adds further delay. Sorry, but I’m a 1 man show here so that’s just how it is.
Taxes
The 5% tax applied (for every state except WI) at checkout is federal excise tax, which I am required to charge. It is listed as being for your state because squarespace does not have an option to add federal taxes.
If you make an order that ships to Wisconsin (where my business is registered), I am required to charge sales tax as well. This usually means 10.5% (5% federal excise, 5% state sales, ~0.5% county sales).
